Kazuo Igarashi Shihan (7th Dan) was born in 1946. He started Aikido in 1964 at the

Meiji University Aikido Club under Yasuo Kobayashi Sensei. In 1973 he became one

of the main uchi deshi at the Kobayashi Dojo; serving as a Teaching Assistant. In 1983,

he established the Igarashi Dojo in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. At present,

he regularly teaches at his own dojos in the Tokyo, Kanagawa area as well as overseas

in Europe, Russia, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Korea and Taiwan.
